I believe I have found all of the past notes and scribbles and what not associated with the..Project. This last bit is from a page I was doodling on many years ago. It seemed at the time I was trying my hand at the symbols associated with the story. In this story, symbols are very important in several different ways.
I have to admit that I had forgotten this bit of the original idea until I came across this legal pad filled with notes. There, at the bottom, I found this little square of pencil scribble. Bam! I had a flashback to where and what I was doing during that time. That moment is what makes this particular bit of seemingly random doodling so very important.
I will admit that one of my weaknesses, other then a lack of organization, is my inability to leave a paper trail. Over the years, I have had many, many ideas and half thought out stuff pass through my mind. I may or may not have written it down. From poems to epic books of fiction, those ideas have turned since the days of reading mysteries when I was a wee lad in elementary school. You could say I have a rather large collection of that stuff floating around in my head, and I don't always remember it all or even think about it unless something triggers that bit.
Since the beginning of the year, that has changed. I now have reams, er bites of those bits stored on the computer. Some days, it is just a matter of recording all of those bits that takes up all of my time. So this particular piece of doodle is priceless, because it opened a flood gate of story info. Now I am armed with even more notes in preparation of the..Project.
I am almost home. I think I used all of the postcards and I am out of stamps. The next five days are the sprint to the start. November is going to be grand.
