Good Day and welcome to the..Project
I popped off a couple thousand and hit the 44k mark with three days to go and I anticipate by the end of the weekend I will reach the goal. I did not think I could make it this far, and it sure isn't over yet, but it looks good, real good. It feels pretty good too. I am really wore out, this project takes a ton of energy, but tired in a good way.
Everybody is off doing the Black Friday thing and I am just trying to buy a vowel, about six thousand would be good. Do I get a discount? It is kind of funny, I was sitting here thinking, man it is quiet, cruising along, the tyke is sleeping, everyone else is shopping, gettin' some stuff done. Then they burst in with the deals they found and went back to bed. All is good and I got right back in the saddle. What a day already.
The past two days I have found myself drifting to other sections of the story again. I guess I am just not going to do this in any kind of order. I guess that's okay, that is the way the story is coming out. But I am just bad, cause I keep saying, well what happened between here and there? Why did you not put that part in yet? hmmm? Yeah, I have gone over to the dark side, I am now arguing with myself about the story. I get that far away look, start mumbling and if I catch myself, I can not do that in front of other people. Yeah, I have failed that a few times..
Any who, the characters are moving along, the story is moving along and we are all just happy as can be. After a discussion last night with better 1/2, I believe I have to go back and add some stuff. No she has only read wee snippets of it, but she raised a good point, asked a couple of pointed questions. My answer was well, I know how that happened, its right here(points to head). She says ohhh, right, and the reader knows this how? Um.. yeah.
So I need to add in some more bits that I just left out. I have no idea why I did that, but it makes sense. When I get first draft done, which will be awhile, she gets to be first reader and find all the holes and other crazy stuff I forgot. I just have to get there first. So with the first goal almost achieved I'll have to start thinking about goal two in the quest.
