That title alone should get you to smile. But in keeping with the surf theme and putting the title of the latest cool read I have read up there, well it fits. I got a chance to pick up A Funny Pair of Shorts by Edward G Talbot the other day, and downloaded it into my Kindle for PC. You'll notice a link over in the blog roll.. but here is a link to a contest! Take a gander my fellow wanderers..
This collection has not one, not a pair, but three funny shorts sure to tickle your fancy and entertain. I got a few laughs along the way, and really enjoyed each story.
The first story, The Devil and Rashid Schwartz is about the afterlife. When Rashid Schwartz finds himself at the Pearly Gates and no one is there, the Brooklyn native gets down to business, funny business. The characters and the situational irony, the comedy, has just the right beats. Worth the price of admission right there, but there is more.
The second story is called The Pink Tower and was just as entertaining, on a different beat, but just as fun and filled with irony. Kash Klark is our hero of the story, and he tells you, right off the bat, he is not a nice guy. He is a thief and on occasion, a killer, but I liked the guy. He does a 'job' and it goes pretty good, until he gets a call from the victim. Pretty funny, pretty ironic and well done.
Last but not least, we have World Wide What. This is a quirky short piece that when I got to the end I honestly laughed out loud. It has that kind of humor, the kind that hits ya upside the head and makes you thankful you are not the person in the story.
Three funny stories for the price of one, and well worth every penny. You can pick up A Funny Pair of Shorts by clicking the link over to the website or by going to Amazon, or Smashwords and putting down a few coins. Also, while your rummaging around on the site, you might be interested in A Horrifying Pair of Shorts, I know that is next on my list!

Thanks, patrick! I'm very glad you liked the stories.
