Been a bit since I posted an update here, been kinda busy really.
Started a new job and that has been foremost in my mind for awhile, lots to learn and do and to get back into 'work shape'. Eight months is a long time to be laid off and it is taking a bit to get back into the swing of things. But I dig the job and it is a great opportunity and worth every bit of energy I put into learning and doing the best I can every day. So yay! its all good.
On the Nano front.. ugh.. what was I thinking? Well the good side of it is the 5k or so I have done is a nice start to the next big novel project, so thats a bonus. Bad side? not gonna get 50k by the end of the month, no way. But thats cool. Still writing other stuff, poetry, short stuff, and still trying to get to the finish line on last years Nano novel. All in good time...
November is a good month, always. It is Birthday Month 'round these parts. Better 1/2 achieved the Ultimate Answer to the the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything. I gave her a towel to mark the occasion.. And my day is just a couple days off then its on to the techno-tot's b-day! So yeah, November is pretty fun, and its turkey time too!
Lot of non-blog, non-net stuff going on right now. I get into the groove, and we'll be back scribbling away on a more regular basis here and elsewhere, just gotta catch my breath a bit. And that is that.. gotta finish a poem I am working on and we can go hang in the corner at some point soon and who knows? maybe I'll post up a bit of short story here too.. you never know.
