Long story short. When I transferred stuff from the desktop to the lap top, along came my KindleforPC stuff and it got 'lost' on the laptop. So I am catching up on all the cool stuff I bought. Tattoo by Mr. Cooley is one of the gems that was hiding in my queue.
I dig this story on a lot of levels. I like crime/detective stories and if done well, thriller/psychological horror will turn my crank, so to speak. Tattoo does that. I am not going to give a synopsis, it is a bit of a mystery after all. But if you like a good story, then you will dig this tale, no doubt about it. Not to give anything away, but I though Nigel was a cool character. You know, the kind of character that is a 'character' and is the perfect supporting role. I dig good supporting characters..
Here is the blurb right from Smashwords..
Scars. They remind us who we are, what we are and where we have been. But when a scar takes away your identity, what would you do to get it back? Jackson, a journalist in Houston, discovers links between several murders that have taken place in his city. His investigation draws him into the world of body art where he discovers an obsession worth killing for. (This book contains content that may not be suitable for young readers 17 and under.)
Surf on over and say hi to the FiendMaster himself at ShadowPublications. You can also pick up a copy at Amazon and Smashwords for .99 cents and that, my fellow wanderers, is a deal at twice the price.
Sounds interesting! I'll have to give it a read.

Did you know you can get the entire indexed works of Mark Twain for one freaking dollar on Kindle? The damn thing practically pays for itself!
